How to Get Advising

Below you can find all of the academic advising units for every major and program at the UO. Not sure who to talk to about Academic Advising? Call the Office of Academic Advising at 541-346-3211.

Advising Helpdesk ​Chat
(M-F, 8am-5pm Pacific)

To use the helpdesk chat, please download Teams (free) and click button to start chat. ​​​​Log in to Teams using your Duck ID.

Email a Quick Question
You can expect a response from an advisor within 1-3 business days. Note: if you are looking to connect with an advisor or have a major-specific question, click here to find the right department. 

Use the Navigate App to schedule advising appointments
Access Navigate in a browser. The Navigate Student App also shows your class schedule, important events and to-dos, and more. Free to all UO students.

Undergraduate Research
For students who are interested in exploring and engaging in undergraduate research opportunities, the Center for Undergraduate Research and Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program both offer virtual drop-in open hours, as well as individual advising appointments. Visit each area's website for additional information.
Students can reach out to the Office of Distinguished Scholarships for advising on prestigious national and globally competitive scholarship awards such as the Fulbright, Goldwater, Marshall, Rhodes and many others.
