In addition to academic advising, the University of Oregon provides a variety of resources to assist students throughout their time here from additional academic support to physical and mental wellbeing to community-building opportunities. Below is a list of some of our most important services, but we offer many more.
Academic Services
Accessible Education Center (AEC)
Supports access and inclusion for students with disabilities and neurodivergent students by offering accommodations and disability-related counseling and support.
Global Education Oregon (GEO)
Provides advising, information, and scholarships for students wishing to study abroad.
Tutoring and Academic Engagement Center (TAEC)
Provides tutoring services, study groups, academic success resources, test prep, and more.
UO Writing Lab
Provides writing support services for Writing 121z, 122z, and 123, including help with drafting, understanding assignments, interpreting peer and instructor feedback, and revision strategies.
UO Libraries
In addition to the entire library database, students can use research guides and research support, tutorials, free textbooks, study spaces, tutoring, and more.
Wellbeing Services
Basic Needs Program
Provides food, housing, financial, academic, legal, and childcare related resources for students.
Care and Advocacy Program
Supports students navigating personal crises, mental health concerns, unanticipated family situations, and other concerns.
Financial Wellness Center
Offers coaching sessions, workshops, and other resources about budgeting, scholarships, loans, and preparing for post-graduation.
University Counseling Services
Offers services to support mental health including a crisis hotline.
University Health Services
Offers services to support physical health including an on-site pharmacy and educational resources.
