Background and areas of interest:

I have a BA in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz, Go Slugs! and an MS in Counseling, with a focus in Career Counseling, emphasis in College and Student Personnel Counseling from San Francisco State University.  I love all things media: film, tv, documentaries, podcasts, audiobooks, and photography.  I’m also an avid San Francisco Giants fan and am a bit obsessed with golf, both playing and watching. 

What brought you to the U of O?

A change of scenery from Portland, having a smaller community to raise my son in, and wanting to be a part of the vibrant UO community. 

How did you get involved in academic advising?

I began my higher education career at Portland State University in 2010 as an academic and career advisor and really fell in love with the work and supporting students in their academic and career goals, and I’ve never looked back!
